Tips to wash and dry like a professional

Professional results

No problem, our professional equipment and detergent will help you to get exceptional results.
Follow the tips of our experts and become professional.

Washing

The fundamentals to remember for washing efficiency were put together by Dr Hubert Sinner in 1959. Indeed four factors (Temperature, Time, Chemistry, and Mechanical Action) play a decisive role in every wash cycle. Those like time or Chemistry are set by our engineers; however you can play somehow with mechanical action and certainly with temperature.

Mechanical action.

The load factor of the drum will directly affect the mechanical action. During the wash cycle your clothes are lifted by the baffles and fall down. If your drum is over loaded, this lift/fall motion will be affected.

Temperature.

With Revolution Washers you have the choice of different temperatures between cold water (usually 15°C) and hot water (80°C). Hotter temperatures provide better result, but not all of your fabrics may stand these extreme temperatures.

You should always refer to the washing label of your clothe and set the washing temperature accordingly. Mixed clothes with different fabrics, you should set the temperature on the lowest.

As a general guidance, coloured cotton can usually go up to 40°C without problem. Warm/hot water is more likely to be used with white textiles. Hot water should be used to very strong fabrics that require an extra level of decontamination like wipers, mop or rags.

For a duvet or pillow, this would be generally set up to 60°C. Please, refer to your product label to select the right temperature.

Any doubt, especially when washing colours for the first time, cold wash (tap water temperature) must be preferred. This will protect your fabrics from colour bleeding in most cases.

Side note, a colour bleeding test is always good to do before washing an item for the first time. Take a white wiping rag and rub it on a hidden part of the fabric. If you see some colour, wash it separately the first time.

Some clothes are labelled as hand wash only and should not be washed into our washer as our machines do not provide specific cycles for this.

In case of heavy specific stains like grease, wine or grass use specific stain remover sprays and pre-spot the soiled area before washing.

To conclude, the more soiled clothes you have, load the machines as little as possible. Do not hesitate to pre-spot heavy stains with an appropriate stain removal. Likewise, do not overload your washer as it may affect your result. And in case you have delicate items you want to protect, do not hesitate to place them into a net.

In any case, always follow wash labels instruction with attention.

Drying

Our professional dryers offer record performance compared with other dryers you may find at home or in some other laundromat. You may achieve your drying in 30 min compared to the usual 90 min at best with other dryers.

This result is achieved because of two main factors. Firstly we offer bigger drum capacities that permit your load to tumble efficiently in the dryer. Secondly, the heat generated is massive as our dryers are very powerful.

First of all before drying anything, you have to make sure drying is not forbidden on the label of your clothing.

With Revolution Dryers you have the choice of different drying temperatures from delicate to Super-Hot. You may select water temperature with a lot of caution, hotter temperature provide shorter drying time, but not all of your fabrics may withstand these extreme temperatures. Super-Hot drying temperature has to be used with caution. Mixed or synthetic fibres should not be dried with high temperatures. If you do so, you may damage the fabric.

You should always refer to the washing label of your clothing and set the washing temperature accordingly. In case of mixed clothes with different fabrics, you should set the temperature to the lowest.

If doubt, you can use the delicate or lowest drying temperature to protect your load.

During the drying process, do not hesitate to open the door and check the remaining moisture. When your load is made of mixed cotton items like polo shirts, pants, socks and underwear, your socks and underwear might be dry after 10 minutes only depending on your load. Do not hesitate to take them out before the end.

Hope these tips help, any questions?
